My name is Jackie Facendola. I am a passionate designer with an illustration skill set. I interned at Alexander Isley Inc. during the summer of 2019 and later began working as a graphic design intern at GO in Hartford, CT. Throughout my education and internship experience, I have applied my skills in several areas, including UI/UX and motion. No matter the medium, I am most interested in solving complex, real-world problems with Design.

Bipartisan App

Bipartisan is an app that will help change the way we learn about presidential candidates. Designed to eliminate bias, Bipartisan lets the user focus on the issues they care about before revealing identifying information about a candidate, such as race, gender, age, and political party.

Interactive Museum Display

The goal of this project was to design a museum display for the Smithsonian Amazonia exhibit. This interactive scroll allows users of all ages to learn about different animals in the exhibit. The scroll ends with an infographic.

Morning Buzz

The goal of this project was to create a brand manual for a hypothetical restaurant for a mock client. The brand was designed to be welcoming and warm, yet also corporate.

Dunkin’ Bath Products

The goal of this project was to design packaging for new products for an existing company. I chose to design bath products for the Dunkin’ brand that would use the brand’s most popular coffee flavors as scents.

Alabama Shakes Pamphlet

The goal of this typography project was to capture the feeling of a chosen band while organizing a large amount of text. The typography, color palette, and folding system were all carefully chosen to capture the style of the artist.

This project is the Senior Capstone. Senso is a mobile application and a continuous glucose monitor. The goal of Senso is to improve user-experience with diabetic technology with improved user-interface design and thoughtful, discreet product design.
